Person 1. "Hey, my good friend who I trust very much, otherwise I wouldn't tell you this, I'm going to be taking part in a protest against child pornography. What do you think?"
Person 2. "Well... what about other alternative sexualities like homosexuals and bisexuals? They're kind of the same thing. Why don't you protest them?"
Person 1. "What? Surely you recognize a fundamental difference between an alternative sexuality and child pornography?! I mean do you not know much about child pornography? The way they abuse children?"
Person 2. "Oh sure, I know they abuse children. But what about those guys in the news the other day? They were gay, and they abused children too. Gays and other alternative sexualities are child abusers just as much as pornographers are. And anyhow, some gay people have been realy mean and hateful towards people like me, so I don't really like gay people. Maybe I'm just biased, but I don't think there's that much difference between gays and pornographers."
Person 1. "I don't even know what to say in response to that."
Now, to finish off the picture of this conversation, I shall tell you that person one is homosexual, and person two is perfectly well aware of that fact.
How would you feel, if you were person one?
Think about it.
