If there's anybody who's actually ignorant about this subject, I found The Road to Xenu to be an excellent taste of what Scientology is actually about, though it's honestly one of the mildest of the ex-scientologist stories I've heard. Also www.xenu.net has a ton of good information. And, of course, to be fair to the other side, you'll probably want to take a glance at www.scientology.com Not that I particularly want to be fair to that organization, but it's always good to look at both sides of an issue before making up your mind. Finding a neutral view on the subject is pretty well impossible, the wikipedia article on them is the only one I know of out there, and it tends to be a bit of a battleground. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology

I posted a few weeks back about the link off that page about her biographical account while searching for info about Scientology. It was a very creepy and fascinating read. I need to go back and read Road to Xenu. I heard she cobbled that together from several ex-Scientologist experiences.

Yeah, with all this Scientology hoo-haa going on it's a good thing to get your facts straight. Personally, I'm not for or against. It's really none of my concern. Some of my friends tried to get me in on that protest a little while ago. "meh" I say. Meh.
