I'd made an ear and tail set for a guy in Canada. He was having the box sent to his work, and had asked that I send it in a plain box, just so he didn't get any more funny looks. (He'd had a few previous packages interestingly labeled.) So I sent it off, with nothing scarier on it than a tiny customs form with "costume" filled in, which is what I always call fursuit stuff when I send it internationally. Anyhow, here's an excerpt from the e-mail I just got from him.

"And yeah the US Postal Box was innocuous, though the "Canada BorderServices Agency" slapped a massive label on it with size 40font.....the mailroom guy says "hey Kurt, here is your .... huh.....'novelty items' ... Enjoy *smirks* ".

The French label is even worse sounding - "Fantasies de fetes"..Lol... since the last two boxes I got at work said "AlcoholicBeverages" and "Cage, Large", the mailroom folks must think I have avery interesting social life. ;)"

I about died laughing when I read it.

Oh, that's impressive. We're all for honesty in labeling, but that's just misleading. It's costume parts, not "novelty items".
