Well, close enough. My notebook with notes on things I need to do/have done, etc, is packed up. And I have this nagging certainty that there's still somebody I meant to invite into Free Space and haven't managed to, for one reason or another, and said notebook is where I put down who I've pestered. And I don't want to go around everybody I know going "Hey, did I bother you about Free Space yet?" because most of them will be all "Yes, and I said no last time too."

So, er... if I haven't invited you into Free Space, and the idea of sci-fi collaborative writing is something you find interesting, poke me, would you? #freespace on irc, it's an open channel, so you can wander in. I try to be in there all the time, but with apartment hunting and things, I'm not always awake in there.

*pokepokepoke* I don't think you've bugged me, and I'd like to at least take a look.

Ah. Well, most of Free Space is the chat on IRC. Do you have IRC?

Hrm. That sounds discouraging. There are non-IRC areas as well, I'm just asking because if you do have IRC it would be the easiest way to show you everything.

IRC. Considering I don't even know what IRC is, probably not.

shrug. Oh, well.

IRC isn't a requirement. I'll e-mail you a link to the non-IRC areas. I just don't want to post links in public here. This is a friendly and welcoming community, but it's also an invite-only kind of place, by and large.

Mmmmmeh. I think the idea is novel, but I think....

I think I'll let the idea wander around in my brain for awhile. My first instinct is that yes, I have ideas, but am I willing to let others collaberate and expand on them? I am a very guarded person when it comes to my creative ideas. Then again, it might be nice to have a community of people who can expound on worlds I've got jiggling around in my head... And I do like to bounce off other peoples' creative energy...

Bof. sigh. We'll see... Give me a few days. Internal conflict raging.

No pressure. This is only if you want to jump in. And I will note that nobody else will ever write anything using your ides without your permission there. Free Space is intended to make collaboration possible, but it's not required. Mostly we write our own stuff, and then critique and share ideas. Not that anybody there has written much yet, we're still both new and small.

Well, then. Count me in. I'll just say yea before I have any more of a chance to freak out.

Do you just count me in and I'm done? Do I need a username and password?

You do need to sign in to the wiki, I believe, and the forums. Just register at both, and let me know if you have any troubles.

That's me, a troublemaker. I lost the Email you sent me earlier today. I thought I had it here on one of my tabs on Mozilla, but I can't find it.

Bof.
