ARGH!

The universe hates me just now, it seems, because every good thing that happens in neatly cancelled out by something bad.

I just got a notice that somebody has filed a dispute with paypal, because they never recieved the item they paid for. They ordered a tail on the 9th. My site states that tails take one to three weeks to construct. And that's not counting shipping times! And WHY, if this guy was in such a hurry, didn't he mention it? Or e-mail me? He has my freaking e-mail address, I know he does, because he's mailed me before about this thing when ordering it. WHY didn't he tell me he had a problem? Why the freak did he have to file a dispute instead? Gah! I'm about tempted to just say "fine!" and refund it and have nothing to do with him. This is so annoying! I do everything I can to make customers happy, but I can't fix a problem that nobody tells me about!

Deeeep breaths.... one at a time mind, don't hyperventilate!

That's incredibly unfortunate and frustrating, to say the least. As maddening as it is, I would still politely email him and ask "Was there a problem? Is there a way we might mutually resolve this?" in case it's some sort of strange misunderstanding. He could very well be desperate for the cash and figures it'd be difficult to ask for a refund for that reason. If he's just being an ass, then perhaps it's for the best and you wouldn't want to work with him anyway.

To be honest, this kind of thing seems to happen without much rhyme or reason in many a business situation (even in supposedly well-establishd companies with a stellar customer service record), and I wouldn't take it too personally. Some people really are just nuts, and more often than not, people will not tell you when there is a problem (even when you ask for feedback).

Sally forth, and all that!

As someone who has seen a lot of paypal disputes, he's got the right of it, really. Just email him and see what's up, and if he wants the money back, just agree to refund him and don't deal with him anymore after that.

But hey, at least you didn't get a root canal today? *grins wryly*

Er, he's got the right of it = kainhighwind_dr. Not the boob that prematurely filed. Just want to clarify. *snerks*

Darn meds.

He he he. Yeah. I wrote back explaining that I hadn't had time to make it yet, and that if he was in that much of a rush, I'd be happy to refund, but that if he was willing to wait another week or two I'd make it ASAP. Guess we'll see what happens.
