Fair report.

We had a late and rocky start today, but once we got there the fair was amazing. And we still had plenty of time to look at all the really good stuff, though most of the booths got a glancing skimming, in deference to JJ's dislike of pointless windowshopping. Had I been by myself I'd have looked at more, but you must make compromises in a relationship, and it's a small thing for me to not look at stuff I'm only vaguely interested in, when JJ really doesn't want to. I did drag him about to a few things that I genuinely was interested in, and he likewise examined a number of booths. We didn't buy much this year. We never do, really, because all of the totally awesome stuff is out of our price range. Though it was a near thing with these nifty burl boxes. If they'd been just a tiny bit cheaper I'd have got one. They were reasonable priced for what they are, which is pure awesome in wooden form, with nifty hidden drawers and everything. But still over my budget. I ended up getting a tie-dyed T-shirt, to match the rainbow tail and ears I wore. Which I got no comments on, weirdly enough. Admittedly, rainbow fur is pretty tame compared to a lot of what we saw there, but still... *shrugs* Ah well. In addition to the tie-dye, I bought sugar (fudge) and lunch, which was sqash ravioli. I thought that the amazing goodness of the squash ravioli I'd had before might have been due to the specific recipie that place had, but as this second try, from a totally different place, was still shockingly good, I must conclude that it is the squash itself that makes it so utterly delicious. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Let's see... saw all kinds of weird people. I could just sit and people watch there all day. JJ bought ostritch plumes for his hat, which I shall sew on sometime shortly. That's about it. Was most fun! Also tiring, but fun.
