So here's a few tiny things I managed to finish this week.

http://bladespark.topcities.com/costume/newfoxears.jpg The photo is out of focus, but that's a new ear pattern. The difference from my old one's pretty subtle, but I like this one better.

http://bladespark.topcities.com/costume/delrinfox.jpg And people can finally see part of the reason why delrin is so neat! This tail boings and wags wonderfully when I walk, and it stands out instead of hanging limply. Woo!

I really like those new ears. Very authentic looking, but still with an added bit of fanciful 'cuteness' factor. ^_^

Nice tail poise too. Just out of curiosity, where do you buy delrin? Is it simply a wire/plastic product from craft stores, or...?

I also wanted to ask, do you ever market your skills directly to schools who might need or like mascot suits for sports teams? How about school plays or local drama clubs? Not sure if they are able to get that kind of service for any less, given their limited funds, but...

I haven't done much as yet to pitch myself to schools or drama clubs. I'd like to! But there's a lot of legwork involved there. I'm a bit wary of doing school mascots, really, as mine are not quite up to that level of abuse. I mean... I'd obviously design them stronger, and double stitch them and all that, but still, they get such a beating!

As for delrin, It's not a craft product, it's an industrial plastic. (Super strong, it's unbelievable what you can do to it and not break it. I don't think bare human hands /could/ break the stuff.) I buy mine from Tap Plastics, an online company.
