Finger lickin' good.

So I'm in the mood to randomly ramble about random things tonight. Heck, look down a couple of posts to that CRFH comic comment and the nonsensical aftermath and you can tell that easily enough. This is a bit longer though, and utterly not germane to the previously mentioned topic (not that that's stopped me before, but still...) so I'll just ramble on here.
Anyhow, mention of chocolate in chat has reminded me of a train of thought I was having the other day, which went like this:
Almost everybody has comfort food. That's a big part of why so many people are overweight. We stress out, we eat, we feel bad for being fat, so we are stressed, so we eat more. Yes. Fortunately I've managed to avoid this. Partly because of good metabolism, partly because of small apetite, but largely because my idea of comfort food involves things like pitas with avacado, artichoke hearts, and pasta with tomato sauce and cheese. Not, perhaps, the most healthy and low-cal things out there, but much better than a carton of ice cream or a jumbo bar of chocolate.
So there you go. My usual response to being stressed out is to boil up a pot of pasta. Or rice-a-roni, especially the cheddar and broccoli flavor, mmmmm....

Date: 2003-08-09 01:45 am (UTC)My idea of comfort food, on the other hand...is anything that's handy. :p
Given that I have this odd habit of not eating until suddenly I'm reminded to eat...but the food place is closed, so I don't eat...
And when the times I remember to eat and the food place is open, well, I've been known to have five or six plates of the 'food' that they call food here...
I suppose I should actually have a point to this, but it's so fun to ramble on pointlessly, isn't it?
