Somebody was making death threats, the convention organizers didn't take them seriously, somebody got hurt, and the convention people accused the victim of making it all up, so that Mercedes could get more publicity, or some such.
Yep. Ask all the Warren Ellis fans about that, or almost any of the sane members of a subculture (or main culture) with a loud and verifiably insane small faction...
Grrg. For once, I wish people would actually be sane and understanding. It would be neat.
