Ruby lap dragon, you are MINE!
I think I may end up selling the ruby old warrior I just bought. After I've admired it for a suitable length of time, that is. But I have a much cooler prototype old warrior, and now I'll have a superb example of the ruby color in the shape of a ruby lap dragon, and having a ruby old warrior as well seems excessive.
That and I"m not sure how the heck I'll get it into the display cabinet.
But first they have to arrive, so I guess I'll see how I feel about them in person.

Date: 2006-08-30 11:30 pm (UTC)I haunt ebay. There /are/ sometimes very good deals there. Heck right now somebody's selling a ruby lap dragon for $120 buy it now price, and they're usually around $160. (And you can bid $90 and you might get it if nobody else bids...)
Also, I'm waiting eagery for the paint your own dragons. THOSE should be inthe $20-$50 range. Which is much more affordable.

Date: 2006-08-31 01:59 am (UTC)The PYO price range is indeed a little closer to my budget for such things... though with exchange rate and shipping, I still have to think twice (or thrice) before laying down $75 for an unpainted piece.
I wish I had that kind of money kicking around though just for fun. Although... office décor is a business expense... *cackle cackle!*
But yeah, a lap dragon would be nice. Not so fond of the ruby colour though, I don't think. You know what I want? An Old Warrior (or almost any dragon) in Autumn Leaf. *drool* I lurv that colour a lot. But a PYO dragon will have to do (I love both models, can't decide which I'd prefer).
