Crapitty crap crap! I am so incredibly screwed.

UPS wants to charge me $100+ to ship the full rolls. USPS won't take them, they're too big. Fedex is estimating me $90-ish, and DHL says that they're too big and I should contact customer service?

I don't know what to do here... I may have to resort to cutting up the entire 300 yards into smaller bits and shipping them that way. I'm totally stumped.

*Offers cookies and a massage* First thing to do is calm down. Easier said than done but needs to be said.

If you relax and maybe sleep on it, something may come to you. If not call them all up and talk to the reps to see what can be sorted out.

Worst case hire some friends to come over hang out and cute and pack the fabric. Yes it will suck and such but friends make stuff easier to bear.

*Would like to not she is not trying to sounds pretentious or anything jsut trying to be a calming voice for now.*

Heh. Unfortunately A.) I don't know anybody around here but JJ, and B.) the problem is that this is costing too much, paying out extra money to hire people to help is only going to add to that problem.

Some independent shipping places will work out a deal for you if you are shipping in bulk. i know this for a fact from personal experience with shipping dentistry materials with my dad for his side business.
Go in and dont be afraid to say up front how many parcels you're shipping and ask what kind of bulk discount they can give you. you may be surprised1

Hrm. Independant shipping? You mean places other than UPS and Fedex?

shipping places like Boxes Etc and The Shipping Place, places that ship from ups, fedex, and DHL in a variety of combination or singularly. They're independent businesses that are already setup with these myriad shipping companies as an independent storefront. They also tend to sell boxes, packing stuff, paper, stationery, etc, and may even have an outlet agreement with USPS.
That's how my dad got deals on his DHL shipping, which, by the way, ships worldwide.
he shipped a 2lb package to the UK in the same amount of time that UPS would have taken, for about 1/3 the price, simply because he has done large quantities of shipment with this independent shipping outlet before.
They're usually eager to make a deal with you if you're going to be spending big bucks anyway. Give it a look!

It may be worth it to invest in those vacuum bags which make everything so much smaller.

I use DHL... and if you don't bok it, but rather leave them in the plastic bags, they should have been shipped to you in, then they'll take them.

They came on a freight pallet, so bags wouldn't have kept them properly stacked.

They do things differently with special orders.

How much does DHL charge for them? I can probably turn up some appropriate bags...

you could probably achieve the same thing with plastic sheeting from walmart's paint department and some clear packing tape.

Yeah, that's the plan. Though... either I just got a total moron on the phone, or your local DHL is nicer than ours. I was told that 60 inches long is just plain too big to ship through them, sorry nothing they can do for me. It seems like the best route is actually the USPS.
