Well, after many attempts to get some sort of deal, who do I find will end up shipping these things the cheapest? The good old USPS. Once I got them out of the boxes and plastic wrapped 'em, they're juuuuuuuuuuuuust small enough to fit under the size restrictions.

Figures.

I think that after this I'm just going to refuse to even consider shipping with anybody else for anything but outright freight shipping. I'd rather not run around and around and around to find that the place I normally go was the best place to go after all.

did you find bags, then? or did you go with the clear paint tarp idea?

Well, it's not a paint tarp, it's this plastic by the foot stuff that the local hardware store had. (In about a million varieties. We got the most heavy-duty there was.) Not too expensive either, 50 feet of it was $26, and that's enough to wrap up everybody's.

Realis, you're not scary, you're just sorta goofy. *grins*

But I've never had a problem with USPS... the ones that have always given me problems were UPS/Fedex.

Good job on the fur, and good luck with it. I have to say, I have never been anything but impressed by the US Postal Service. Fast, cheap, reliable. Having delt with the post in other coutries... we are very lucky.

I used to like the USPS when I lived in NY... then I moved here... it's as if they hire ex-cons with cleptomania to work at this branch! oye!

*chuckles* Ours has this cute little old lady that I always seem to end up with. She was really helpful. Thank heavens! Half the people I called were totaly not cooperative, and I swear whoever I got at DHL when I called was braindead.
