I return victorious!
Oct. 3rd, 2006 02:21 pmThe expedition was a success. The initial trip down took around 40 minutes, though the return took somewhat over an hour, but I was strolling slowly on the way back, and limping a bit towards the end. Sadly I am in terrible shape, and though my hips actually took the trip better than I'd feared, my left knee decided it did not approve of all this activity.
I worry about that a bit. If my lower joints get too bad, I won't be able to walk distances carrying weight, and doing so is the only way I can manage to get real exercise. Exercise for its own sake is just not something I can do. I need a primary goal that has exercise as a side effect. I plan to start walking more places and having JJ drive me less. But if I can't walk... I don't know what I'll do. But hopefully this was merely a complaint brought on by lack of muscle strength around the area, and will thus clear up as I walk more.
