I got a package of dead things in the mail today. (Man, that was fast!) A really nifty grey fox pelt, and a bobcat skull. Both of which are totally awesome. Though the grey fox looks like a summer pelt, or one from somewhere south-ish where they don't bush up much for the winter. Which is fine, it's lovely and soft and sleek, and the colors are great. The face is really nice, not all smooshed, and it has whiskers on it and everything. No feet though, and no front legs at all, which I find a little odd, as the back legs are there. But it's soft and pretty, and Kali's reaction to it was amusing. She sniffed it, then immediately scent marked it and rubbed all over it, then grabbed it and clawed it a few times with her back feet. She has let the dead fox know who's boss! I didn't let her at the bobcat skull, it's too fragile, and she might break it. It has really impressive fangs for the size.

Thank you greydown! I was going to mail your dragon today or tomorrow, but see previous post. *smiles* It'll have to wait until JJ can drive me down on Friday.

I'm glad everything arrived intact! I was worried the nice people at USPS might put that box through The Crusher(tm), like they did with my FF plushes. Plushes can survive that... a dead tube fox can survive that... a skull? Ack.

So. I'm glad it all gets the Spark Stamp of Approval. And no worries about the dragon -- you should work on feeling better first. Though I have picked out a spot on a shelf for her. ^_^ Eee! Dragon yay! *dances*

Very yay! Also, unexpected side benefit, the skull and pelt totally creeped JJ out! *giggles*

N) 'scent marked': she urinated on it?

Ew no! Cats have scent glands in their cheeks. She rubbed her cheek on it.

Yes, that's why your cat will always rub its head against you wherever it can. :D
