Is there a texture on the black part? It looks like there might be, but it could just be the shading effect.

I would like there to be texture on it. I haven't seen much for texturing on the actual sabers though, so I'm not sure what the limitations of the medium are.

Perhaps have it made of transparent material with a relief pattern inside it?
