I got a payment today.

It came through paypal, so I do have the email of the fellow it's from, so I'm mailing him to ask about it, because email is the ONLY information there. No transaction title, no "this is for X" no notes, no shipping address to send to, no names, no "I'm the guy who IM'd you the other day," nothing.

Given that the amount ($35) is what I charge for fox tails, and fox tails are what I sell the most of, that's what I'm betting it's for, but seriously, who pays for an order by paypal without even including a shipping address to send the order to?

The evil little voice in the back of my mind suggests I just keep the money and do nothing. Obviously it can't be a payment for something, or it would have a shipping address attached, right? But then, of course, I'll get to deal with an irate customer who wants to know where the heck his fox tails is, and what's taking so long!

Whoops, nevermind, found it. *pokes at self*

I thought I'd taken care of everything in my inbox, but this one somehow got moved to the completed folder without being shipped. So sorry! I shall ship it asap.

Just on the off chance though... I ship out enough fur it's hard to track. You're SURE it couldn't have arrived and been misplaced? It would have been address to Kenneth, not to you, as his address is what's on the paypal form. And I won't normally move something to the completed folder until I ship, so... something went amiss here.

Yes I am sure. I have checked at my postal office twice now because it should of arrived in the mail they were holding for us while on vacation. I also checked with my apartment front office and with my neighbor who sometimes gets our packages when were not home.

Okay. I'll send it then. I really have a vauge memory of having already done so, but as I said, I ship out a fair amount of fur, so I guess not. Sorry about that!

I'm just puzzled now. I'm sitting here writing down the address, and I KNOW I've sent something to you guys at that address, and cannot for the life of me think what it would be, other than this fur!

Be careful that that isn't some sort of phishing scam. My friend just had one a couple weeks ago, where she received an email that said she received money in her PayPal account for some sort of eBay item that would then need to be shipped (she doesn't sell on eBay...) and when she clicked on the link to PayPal in the message to login (bad girl!) she realised it was a fake PayPal site. Thankfully she didn't sign in and went to her usual bookmark for PayPal's site, and sure enough, no money in the account.

If however you also signed in to your account via the proper link and found the money there... well, I wish you luck in finding your mystery fox tail customer! ;)

That sounds like a pretty fair trade. Hand me an e-mail address, and I'll mail you my mailing address so you can send them.
