I'm not sure if I've ever linked to this before, but if you've never seen the art of Jessica Joslin, you should. It's slightly creepy, and if you really can't stand skulls and bones, don't look. But it's also absolutely beautiful, in an elegant, vaguely Victorian sort of way.

I'd love to own one someday, but I get the feeling I couldn't afford one.

On a related note, Custom creature taxidermy is much, much more disturbing, but also morbidly fascinating. Check out the frankenstien squirrels.

And I want to join this club! Who wouldn't want mutant stuffed animals of their very own?

I don't mind this sort of art if the animal was already dead on the side of the road or going to be eaten, but killing an animal just to get its bones to create something like this to me is wrong.

It is some interesting work however

If you read the FAQ on both those sites, neither artist kills animals for their work. They both use "found" animals, that died of various natural causes, and Jessica Joslin also uses replica bones, rather than real, for some pieces.
