This is just a feeler, to test if this notion is even vaguely viable. Should it appear worthwhile, official announcements may eventually follow. But they may not.

Nobody has stepped up yet to host BC07* (that I am aware of, anyhow.)

If, if JJ and I were to host it in Las Vegas** this summer, who would be likely to make it?

*If you don't know what a BC is, this doesn't concern you, so just ignore it. I leave this post public because not all boardies are on my friends list.

**Vegas because we're probably going to be in Vegas for a bit this summer anyhow, and it's probably the cheapest city in the whole US to fly into, plus there's plenty to do there, even if you're not of age for the *ahem* usual pursuits. We're thinking taking a group to either the Excalibur jousting show, or to the Star Trek Experience, perhaps both***.

***All of this is very, very tentative, at the "idly tossing ideas around" stage.

*Dexam steps up, quill in hand, wearing a wearing a white sequined jumpsuit and a showgirl on each arm.*

Okay, where do I sign?

*stares suspiciously at the subject line*

I know the US is keen on security at the moment, but there are no actual exploratory tentacles involved, right? Right?

:P

You have nothing to fear if you're not a DIRTY COMMIE TERRIST.

Plus the various roller coasters on the strip, and of course, the strip is /rife/ with arcades and shopping. And a couple hours to the Nevada test site, Lake Powell if we wanted to go play in the water or something, and also a couple hours to Death Valley, although I wouldn't like to visit there in August.

Las vegas is close and cheap to get to. I could probably wing it, depending on when it is.

Ha! I can drive up there! ...I think. Either way, I'm willing to do so ONLY IF we get at least a round of Boardie Texas Hold'Em up. >_>

Mel and I won't be able to come, we'll be in australia again . (though we weren't able to come for this year's one either, and we were on the same continent :( )

Y'know... I once saw something on TV about the Star Trek Experience thing, and it said that it's quite common for people to get married on the replica TNG enterprise bridge they have there... And when I saw this I thought "SPark and JJ"

Not going to spring something on us, are you? :P

Ha. No. Our respective families would kill us both if we eloped, for one thing.

Depending on the timing and how entrenched I am in a job or the job search, I may or may not be able to make it.
