Spent today painting Windstones. Finished the repair jobs on two of them, one I intend to keep and one I wanted to sell, which I mentioned on the forums that I'd finished and it was now available, and got it sold within about five minutes, for $40-ish more than I paid for it. Woot! I need to finish fixing up the brown mother to sell too, one of these days.
Also painted a koi-rin, which I've been wanting to do for a while. (Ki-rin with the carp scales painted in a koi pattern.) Pictures shall be posted later. Did a few other things too, and plotted some future PYO paint designs. Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally want them to put up the green-eyed batch of PYO dragons, I NEED green-eyed dragons! But I shall wait, they shall come eventually.
Also waiting with a certain impatience, and with fingers crossed that they hit stores when I have money, for the new color fledgelings, and the new griffins. The griffins I know for sure are "soon" but the fledgelings I'm not so sure on. Have seen photos of test paints for the new color though, and I"m stoked! It's really pretty.
More shinies to get! Though I'll try and restrain myself a bit, as getting the ruby oriental sun dragon I've been after for a while really hit the budget hard. $170 for it. Thank heavens Oregon hasn't got sales tax.
One of these days I want to calculate up what I paid for all my Windstones, and then calculate up the market value of them. On the one hand, the first number is probably disturbingly huge, but on the other, the second is pretty much guaranteed to be even larger, especially once I finish the various repairs and touch-ups to the non-mint pieces in my collection. Now I am to bed. And whatever else you might say about my obsession with Windstones, at least I don't sleep with them! (JJ would kill me, and they're too fragile anyhow. Also hard and not cuddly at all.)
