Argh

Today is not getting off to a good start.

So a few weeks back I wrote a check to the UHEAA for my student loan payment. I had the money in my account when I wrote it. Then I had to pay rent, and the money wasn't there. I deposited more money the next day, to bring my account back up, but you know when the check arrived, right?

Right.

So it bounced like a rubber ball, and now I have to write a new one.

Meh.

Pah to banks... sounds like my yesterday.

I tried to deposit a client's cheque at my credit union, but the guy picking his nose behind the counter (I kid you not) said no, that the sloppy writing in the payee field constituted an 'alteration' to the payee and it would be rejected. The client clearly had just accidentally written the words in my biz name in the wrong order, and tried to correct it, but didn't initial the amendment to show he'd made the alteration himself.

So, a few hours later, on a second trip I went to another branch, a different teller, and with the client's initials now sloppily written upon it myself (with the client's permission, of course), I was able to deposit it without a moment's hassle.

Go figure...

Just a little bit of news to hopefully make you smile. The Loonakit I sent my mom arrived today and she absolutely LOVES it. She put it on her computer next to her Marvin the Martian lamp. Like me, she thinks they are the most adorable things ever.
