Well, I can't speak for how popular it is at the moment, not as much so as Deviantart, that's for sure, but as far as being user friendly, I would rate Jaxpad about twice as highly as Furaffinity. And it's definitely set up with money-making professionals in mind, which I approve of! (Not that furaffinity doesn't have commissions stuff too, but... dunno, it seems more like something badly tacked on there. Then again, the whole site seems badly tacked on there.)

Anyhow, it may turn out that in the long term I don't like it, but first impression is that it is MUCH more professionally done than Furaffinity. Hopefully it gets me some good publicity.

I thought Furaffinity was defentiely supposed to be geared closer to an informal showing of furry artwork than something polished up and all that. So not nescessarily for professionals, though some professionals use it.

Well, Jaxpad hasn't got any requirements for abiity or skill level or professionalism for it's artists either. It's not supposed to be solely for professionals, but they've got a very nice setup if you do happen to take commissions.

Honestly, I just can't take furaffinity seriously when they CONSTANTLY have errors, downtime, problems uploading, and were down for most of a day, came back saying it was all "fixed" except I still get the exact same errors I got there before. And it has had the search function disabled since I signed up there.

*shrugs* Maybe they used to be better than they are, but right now they're looking pretty bad. When I say jaxpad seems more professional, I'm not saying it seems like professional artists are on there, I'm saying it seems like the people running it know what they're doing.

>>; I was sort of making the point that Furaffinity probably isn't something to really be taken seriously as a formal art site, at least until they get their crap together (Sort of like sheezyart but less crazy, I guess?). I know that for a long time dA was having a LOT of problems, but it seemed to get better (or worse?) when they launched their new version. I guess it'd be better to just wait a bit and deal with the junk if you want to really continue using it. Though yeah, Jaxpad really seems like something better for artists who want to work not... spattered out all over the place.
