I just watched a trailer for Pan's Labyrinth. It looks like it would be utterly fascinating. But it also looks very graphic, and I don't generally enjoy graphic violence and such. But... dunno. I may have to go watch it anyhow.

Well yes, but what does an element of classic mythology have to do with a girl among Nazis and lots of bugs and finfing her true destiny? Or is that the hook, to watch and see what the connection is?

It's... a very odd film. No certainties in it, really, and the imagery is strange throughout.

Well worth seeing, though, and not /gratuitously/ graphic.

That's good to know. I've never yet really loved a movie that's gory just for the sake of disgusting people.

I think most of the graphic nature of this movie is implied. I.e. we are going to torture you brutally... but off-screen.

But this seems very intriguing. And it's been a while since I could say THAT about a movie.

I just saw it. It's really, really good, but it is indeed graphic, not to mention very intense. My husband went in thinking it was a children's movie and was way freaked out.
