I finished up all the things I needed to get done before FC earlier today, and after dinner and some errands I still had time left in the day today. I had many options for things to work on, but I decided I should sew up a pair of plain, generic black feet to sell at the con. A potential extra $120 is not to be sneezed at, after all! (Assuming I can manage to get what I would normally charge for such a thing.)And only just now did I realize that I could have sewn feet for my kitsune, to wear myself! *laughs* But no, profit came to mind even before showing off did! So I guess I really must be meant to be an entrepreneur after all.
I just finished the feet, having spent around four hours on them. Fastest feet I've ever made in my life! I hope they sell. There's about $20 in materials in 'em, give or take a bit, so $100 divided by 4 hours makes a whole $25 per hour. Dang that's good! My hourly rates may finally be getting up where I want them to be.
I have about four hours left in the day before I crash too... I wonder if I can get a pair of matching hand paws done with similar speed? I think I'm going to find out!
