If you have never read the Bible in your life, I would bet you could still get better than 50% on this thing. It was momentarily entertaining, at least.

It was pretty stupid really, I guessed on pretty much every answer but there were always a couple options that were just stupid, so I pretty much every question was a 50/50 chance of getting it right.

88%, and I was guessing on most of the Christian parts. I don't like some of those questions; they're misleading. Also, I didn't realize that the book of Esther was part of the your bible. That's cool. When do you read it?

Whenever. *chuckles* Other than Catholics, which I'm still not too familiar with, I don't think any Christians have books for specific times. Well, saving reading the Nativity around Christmas, and the Ressurection around Easter, but not everybody does that. Heck, many Christians have never read any part of the Bible at all!

We crazy Mormons read Esther once every four years as part of the cycle of scripture study. One year reading through the Old Testament, one year reading the New, one year reading the Book of Mormon, and one year readng modern scripture. We just finished up the Old Testament in 2006, so I'd recently brushed up on all that.

Being an ex-Catholic, I can tell you that I don't think we had anything like that. (Other than the nativity and ressurection.) Granted I don't remember a lot about it all now and I never went to church much even when I was a practicing Catholic.

I got 72% cause I really don't know the Old Testament very well.

Four years, wow. I figured it would take longer (or you'd have to do more than a passage a week!) since you have all those other books.

Not reading at all... a Jew isn't considered an adult until he has read from the Torah. Sometimes other cultures make my brain hurt. ^_^;

Yeah, Christian culture can be really strange. Mormon culture, to my mind, is more logical. Though sometimes frustrating.

And we do cheat a bit. All the bits with numbering tribes and counting out cubits and temple blueprints and boundaries and such tend to get skimmed over, in the Old Testament, and the duplicate bits of the New often get lumped together. The Book of Mormon is considerably shorter than the Bible, and the other modern scriptures are fairly short too, really.

Considering I haven't opened a copy in perhaps 20yrs, and am not even a believer, that is a moderately respectable score. But the questions? By the law of averages, a frog would get 25%

77%.

Jeez, that was easy.

I did the quiz because honestly I didn't think I'd really get over 50%, since even when I did do the organized religion, church and religion in general I barely read the Bible at all. I've had one forever, but never really read it much ... think I cracked the Song of Solomon when I was a teen because I heard something about it being X-rated (can't even remember reading it though) And I did skim Apocalypse while reading the Left Behind series (not as Christian literature, but as action/adventure). I think that's what helped me score a 69%

The last I read anything in the Bible was over 20 years ago, for a college paper comparing the book of Esther with the Babylonian Ishtar rituals.
