That oh so secret society? Well.... somebody on the forums also suggested, as several of you folks have, that it was Suicide Girls. (Suicide Girls is NOT a secret society. They flipping advertise, for crying out loud! They want all the publicity they can get!)

And this is the response to that suggestion:

Yeah. I mean Suicide girls is the first thing I thought of when i thought of the initials SG. Still, I tossed it out to you knowing that it was probably not it because it is mainstream (at one time of course, it was but that ship has long sailed into the night).

The guy's (gal's???) a dick, or so it would seem. Trying to suck up he is now, yes. I still think he's something of a troll, and marketer, trying to interest artists in signing up with whatever promotional shtick he's currently attempting to push. He's praising people's art and offering advice everywhere (ahem, 'grooming'?). 'Art Slinger'='Marketing Agent for Artists' it would appear.

I'm dubious as to how long the 'nice guy' attitude holds up. Hard to be kind with one's head up their ass. ;)

I'm very glad I'm not the only one who thinks this guy is a twit. (And I suppose it could be a gal too, though I think the vast majority of the SG membership is male. For some strange reason. *grin*) I just absolutely can't stand him. I didn't like him much from his very first post, in the "Ask Melody" thread, and I really don't like him now.

But that forum is all sweetness and light, (and I don't mind that, better to be kind and polite than rude, really,) so I feel I would not be well-regarded if I gave my full opinion about him there. Thus I shall stay away and hold my tongue until either I cool down, or he leaves/is booted.

And yep, he's still a jerk, and seems to be using multiple personas or spirits to excuse his reason for acting as such. He's erratic; acts all nice and inviting elsewhere in the forum, but continues to be the pompous ass he started out as in that Ask thread (where I also first saw him and thought "Well, here comes trouble!").

Whatever. I'm just ignoring him from now on, unless directly asked a question, whereupon my responses will be polite but to the point. No chit-chat, or suckup nonsense from him. Or falling for his pathetic baiting. ;P

Think I need to check the forum again. I tend to check LJ first. So that is what SG stands for. I had no idea. But I have to admit I've been wondering about that person too...being so secretive seemed a bit rediculous to me.
