Tari is in heat.

This answers the question of whether or not she’d been previously fixed, I suppose. So far she hasn’t done anything unfortunate, just rolled around on the floor alot, rubbed up against everything except the other cat, and spent a lot of time hunkered down with her rear in the air, waiting for her feline Prince Charming.

So when we go back to the vet in a couple of weeks for a follow-up visit, I guess I’ll be shelling out for a little surgery.

ive never had an unspayed female do anything unfortunate. pretty much its just yowling, rolling around, rubbing on stuff and putting their bums in the air.

be really careful she doesnt bolt out of the house tho. females in heat can be quite the escape artists.

i need to look into surgery for Muse and Soosh too.

Well, she still is a scaredy-cat and won't leave my bedroom. I'll keep an extra eye out, but as she'd have to go down the stairs and across the living room to get to the door, we're probably safe.

1-800-SPAY USA has discount certificates for getting cats and dogs spayed, if you need/want them- helpful if it wasn't covered by the adoption fee.

That is useful. She was a stray, so no adoption fee. (And they're not kidding when they say a "free" cat costs you more. Eesh. I've already spent $70+ on her vet visit, shots, flea stuff, etc.)

Heh. :) Tell me about it. :) I've spent $60 vetting two pups for adoption and they've still got to get neutered, microchipped, and their rabies shots before placement.
