The great Quest!
Oct. 11th, 2003 08:47 pmSo today was my first day working at the Treehouse's Halloween activity, the Enchanted Woods. It's this thing where the kids kind of trick-or-treat their way through the museum, but they also have a quest. At each area they hear a little story, find clues for the quest, and get a treat of some kind.
It was pretty fun, but also tiring. I was on my feet, and in character as a Treehous Knight, for 6 hours or so. It's hard to stay active that long, and even harder to stay cheerful and encouraging, and stick with this slightly cheesy script we have.
Still the kids ate it up, I had an excuse to wear (but not draw!) my sword all day, and overall it was fun. And I got paid to do it! I've done things like this for free before.
Oh, and the dragon costume at the end=coooooool!
