Choose: Boston, or Chicago?

Please give a reason for your choice. It doesn't have to be a good reason, just a reason.

Thanks!

Chicago.

Hard to make an unbiased decision since I've never been to Boston, but I've heard a lot of good about it... Chicago's got plenty of things I don't like, but you said they didn't have to be good reasons so I'll go with 'closer to Michigan' (which is always going to feel like home to me) and 'On Lake Michigan.' Gotta stay near my lake.

Chicago!

Chicago isn't dumb about LED signs. Also, for re-visiting my old haunts, maybe seeing some stuff I never got around to seeing.

Boston: there's a cocktail shaker named for it.

Beantown, cause there's more interesting history sites I know about there than in Chicago. Though I wouldn't mind seeing either place, since I've been to neither.

Boston's known for beans and Chicago's the windy city... Tough call. I'll pick the beans.

Chicago. It definitely deserves to be destroyed more than Boston does.

Wasn't that the question? :)

The question is whatever you want the question to be.

Yeah, I know. But everyone is answering it like it's, "Where would you rather live?" I decided to be a bit... contrary. :)

I'm a bit contrary myself. But for me to answer the question at this point would contaminate my results. I'll be answering it tomorrow, when most people have had a chance to see this and answer.

Chicago, because I'm from the midwest and I like the midwest. I've never been to either city, but I'm not fond of the northeast coast. Too much... everything.

I liked Boston more when I visited. Nicer ambience, real architecture, and chowder.

Boston. Because Chicago is Far To Close to certain areas whose proximity it would not do for me to be in, lest I do something... unwise.

I have been to both. I was born in MA so I go to Boston off and on to see relatives. Its busy...hustle bustle. reminds me of a mini New York. That is if you are referring to Down town Boston. Though i also like Chicago. Really good transportation system ...bus that is. So green and no low tide smell within the state of Illinois either.

although... musically speaking in another sense, boston... i mean, chicago has this wierd daulity thing going on, and while the ealier stuff had this cool funkiness, and the later stuff had the... um... soft rock thing going on... but boston was closer to classic rock, which i'm partial to...

Boston, multiple reasons. I'm partial to the band, the universities and the Charles River (I spent a whole summer rowing up and down the Charles and developing a great sandal tan.)

Chicago. It's clean and it's not on the East coast. From my experience, people on the streets in the East Coast develop a very stoic and aggressive attitude when walking the streets of their cities. They might be fine in their own homes, but on the streets, either driving or walking, they don't make eye contact except when they're mad, they don't talk to strangers at all...

I like visiting the East Coast, and Boston was lovely from what I saw of it (I saw mostly the ocean, just to say I've touched that ocean too), but I want to stay away from it. Plus, Chicago has the Art Institute. I spent all day there when everyone else went to a Cub's game and still didn't see everything I wanted to.

So many people have come and gone,
Their faces fade as the years go by
Yet I still recall, as I wander on,
as clear as the sun in the summer sky...
