After fixing my small math problem, and adding in everything I could possibly add as deductions, I got the amount I owe Uncle Sam down from well o ver $1,000 to $149. *wipes sweat off* Whew!

Let me tall you, dear Uncle Sam is NOT supportive of small businesses and entrepreneurs. No he is not. And if you're also single and childless, well... it sucks, that's all I can say.

Whoa, I think I paid more than $1000 in taxes to the CITY of New York (not to mention state taxes, and certainly not Federal taxes.)

Yes, but my ENTIRE taxable income was $6,700 this year. That's all the actual profit I turned. And paying $1,000 on less than $7,000 worth of income is kind of disgusting.

Claiming percentages of rent and utilities as expenses changes the profit I made to $1,900. On which pathetic, so far below the poverty line that it's not even in shouting distance of it ammount... I still owed the above-mentioned $149.
