I have a bulemic cat. She eats and then she throws up immediately afterwards. This makes cleanup easy, as it's pretty much just dampened chewed kibble. It's still ick. (She does this about once a week. Dunno why. Over-eating or overly fast eating most likely. She's very twitchy. This would be Tari, not Kali. Kali is not twitchy, Kali fears nothing, not even the vaccuume cleaner.)

I have commissions! Booked through to August now. They just turned up all at once. Though they were definitely the result of my diligently persuing my own advertising. Getting out there myself is still the best way.

Framed a horse head and a fox/collie mix head today (pretty much just fox shaped, the collie part is more the coloration.) Tomorrow I will either make eyes and noses and teeth and such for them, or do a pair of airbrushed tails, haven't decided which yet.

Also managed to get to a low-cost clinic that could see me, peed in a cup, talked to a doctor for maybe thirty seconds, and got antibiotics AND a pain-killer that isn't digested, it stays in the urine and numbs your sensitive bits on the way out, so no more pain. Also turns pee brilliant orange. Woot. I am irked at the various sites on UTIs though, because only ONE of them mentioned this stuff, it it did it in such a way as to suggest it was a prescription drug. It is not. It is over-the-counter. Had I but known I could have not been hurting the past three days. Grrr.

Am reading the Trigun manga. It doesn't read well for me. I find that action is sometimes unclear, and I've no idea who's doing what to who in some panels. I think it makes a better anime, though I've never actually seen a full episode, just a lot of AMVs. But the story is quite interesting, and I can generally figure things out, so it is fun to read.

Sewing machine is still out of commission, though partly just because I've been doing other things and haven't much been trying to fix it. Next week I think I'l see about taking it in to the repair place to get looked at. Apologies to those of you who are waiting on suits that were due to be finished in March, I'll be getting to them soon, I promise. I'm not aware of any urgent deadlines on them though, so for the next few days I have other things I need to be working on.

That about sums up my day, I think.

Chloe does the same thing. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

Whether or not a drug is prescription or otherwise varies hugely depending on where you are. Remember, Utah used to (practically?) ban something as 'minor' as morning-after pills, something which here is very practically supermarket [not quite, but getting there...]. While usually less extreme, unless the advisory was indicating it was prescription-only in your state it may be possible the information was, rather than incorrect, simply not relevant.

...Or maybe their butts have more sentience than their heads. Who knows?

My parent's cat does that a lot, it's very annoying and very ick. One thing we did try that had limited success was moving her food bowl - she's a very skittish (but loving) animal and her bowl was next to the main doorway into the house. People moving in and out all the time made her insecure while eating so she ate too fast. I suppose it's an instinct thing - people coming near my food may attack me/steal my food. Must eat quickly.

We moved her food bowl to a more secluded location and she stopped being sick - but she also stopped connecting the food bowl as HERS (she never steals food) so had to be picked up and lead to the bowl before she would eat from it

Looks like cats who toss their cookies is pretty common. I had one for a while and we tried her on different foods until we found that Purina Cat Chow Indoor formula was the right one for her. After that, she only threw up if her sinus infection got really really bad. We figured once every few months was better than once every few days.

I've also read some of Trigun manga and seen all but the last episode and can agree that the anime is awesome, but the manga can be hard to follow. I re-read the books I have a couple of times each, picking up on new things each time.

Well, there are cat foods that are "hairball controlling" that might help. Also, if it continues, you might want to consider picking up a SpotBot. They are pricey, but do a VERY good job of cleaning up after cats.

Man, you took the long way around as far as the UTI goes. I just called my OBGYN, told him I had a UTI; His nurse called back and asked me which pharmacy I wanted the prescrption sent to.

You HAVE an OBGYN. I don't. You have insurance. I don't. I had to pay every cent of this doctor's visit out of my very own pocket, and every cent of the cost of my perscription too.

Who said I have insurance? I have to pay every cent from my pocket too. But I also HAVE to have birth control. And getting medicine for UTIs from my OBGYN is bonus, yes, but I still have to pay for that prescription too.

Orange pee! That's craaazy. Glad that the problem is prettty easy to clear up, though.

Maybe try a different brand of pet food if she keeps tossin' it? I remember that I switched my kitty (not twitchy, a real couch potato) to a different brand when she was chuckin' up all over the place, and it really helped. Now she throws up much less, and it's usually because of hairballs.

The Trigun manga is difficult to follow. It's a bit easier once you've seen the anime and gotten used to the art style.

Agreed. The action is unclear, usually because of all the effects being drawn in. But after a while, you get used to it.
