And cue the part of the month when I try to not bite people, and Aidan tries to talk me into a sex change. Whee.

Me too!
When I have my period, the littlest things bug me. Like the little laptop touchpad mouse thing. I'm ready to smash it with my fist.

*chuckles* Most people talk about PMS, but I seem to just have MS, it's during that I'm all grouchy, not after.

Er... not before. Man, I'm really with it.

Heehee That's the same with me, too. Well, this time anyway. The worst is when you're all cranky, and you know it's coming. So you wear pads and stuff for a couple of days. Then it's late and you get too lazy to keep wearing pads and it surprises you in the morning! Oh well. I usually get cramps the first few hours and when it comes in the night I get to skip them. What a mess though, eh? >_

I don't usually get crampy before. And as grouchy is my natural state of being, getting grouchy isn't always a sign! Happily I almost always start during the day, for some reason, otherwise I'd get surprised a lot, I think.

Oh Gawd, do I wish! I just have seriously screwed up dreams until I finally wake up, go find some Advil, and then spend the next couple hours rolling around in bed in agony.

In the day time I can at least take the Advil in advance which makes things much more bearable.

That sucks!
I'm such a sound sleeper... and even though it's gross to wake up in the morning after a night of heavy flow, it still sounds a hundered times better than that! geez!
Not being able to sleep for pain is so awful. I think it's almost worse than the pain itself... almost.

It's really freaking unsettling having a period on days when I'm not actually female. 6.6

*laughs* Yeah... Well, not so much when I'm not female, in my case, as when Aidan's hanging around a lot. He hasn't been spending much time out lately, but he always takes the chance to make remarks about the physical advantages of being male about now.

I've had a weird period this month, due to a number of factors, longer than usual; it makes my intermittent male days just a touch weirder. It'd be nice if there were an easy/reversible way of switching.

Oh yes! As mentioned elsewhere I've been reading El Goonish Shive. Dunno if you do, but man... if transgendering and shape-changing were that easy, I'd SO take advantage of both. Lots.

I tried reading it once, but didn't get far. People keep telling me I should.

Well, it's thus far almost entirely about what happens when some people can shape change and everybody in the cast can get gender-swapped if they want. With anime-style ridiculous fighting powers thrown in, and lots of perverted jokes, but not much actual perversion going on. I had a lot of fun reading it. Matches my sense of humor pretty good, and the serious bits were well done too.

(CRFH's serious bits are kinda soap-opera for me sometimes, I like my soap opera silly and my serious bits with magic in, not the other way around.)

Occasional mild gender dysphoria.

Eh. Males get hormonal cycles too. Ours aren't as pronounced... usually. At any rate, fewer physical symptoms. >_>

Getting into fights and causing accidents via Testosterone Poisoning don't count as physical symptoms?

I've always wondered why I've never once had a mood swing during my period. I kind of just lay around sleepy-like for the first day, then proceed as usual. Eh, maybe when I'm older I'll happen. :P

Yeah, it changes as you get older. I used to hardly bleed, never get cramps, and never have mood swings. But those days are long gone.
