Sometimes I wish there was more material on "understanding extroverts" like that. I can find 101 will-affirming advice pages on introverts, but very little on what goes on in an extrovert's mind. It could be very useful information, since neither group really understands the other's thought processes very well.
To be slightly flippant, introverts publish, extroverts have seminars. There's probably material about what goes on in an extrovert's mind, but I would think it might more readily arrive in the form of a gathering of people than a published book or paper.
And if it's not there, well, untapped market and all that.
Huh.. that's surprisingly accurate! Especially the answers where it made it clear that extroverts really don't understand introverts at all.
When I was going to University, I tried to explain to one extrovert what I did on the weekends (since I rarely showed up for the parties) and I explained that I read, did art, played on the computer, etc.
And he was just baffled at how any of that could be considered fun, since his life revolved around being with his friends and partying. And I hate that kind of scene (Like, what's the point? You come home exhausted and tipsy and nothing has been accomplished except your wallet's a bit lighter)
Hah, I love it! Funny, and... slightly sad. I've had a few mindclashes like that myself...
Oh, totally off topic and I feel a jerk for asking because I never said thankyou the first time (gah!), but you said once that you'd give me a hand ordering some Distinctive Fabric furs? I might be needing some, I'm having a difficult time finding nice light blue fur from anyone who ships internationally and doesn't charge a ton. Problem is I need a fullsuit's worth of it, and I'm not sure if that's too much for you.
I managed the custom MM rust fox order last year, I had 300 yards of fur in my living room, and then I had to cut it down, box it up, and ship it to 20-odd people! Doing 5 yards for one person is a piece of cake.
Aw, thanks! And I don't mind sending you off some pawpads - I'm flattered you like them so much! How many pairs would you be wanting? Er, it should be four yards of the DF baby blue, that stuff looks ideal. Unless you think five yards is better, since it is a two tailed kitsune I'm doing. Hm, yeah, you may be right. (Last fullsuit I did I managed four, but it was a leopard, so not much tail useage)
You should go into selling furs or something, I know I'd buy from you.
I've thought about it. The one thing holding me back right now is room. I actually moved into a slightly smaller place than I used to have, and there's nowhere to put any extra fur. Just my personal stock is keeping the storage space I have packed.
I might venture into it once I get into a large place though.
Anyhow, your pawpads are spiffy and useful and I'm nearly out again, so more would be great. Maybe three or four pairs? Black this time. I still have some pink left, but I'm about out of black. And I would say 5 yards, I always get 5 myself, even though most suits only use 4. It's better to have leftovers after, you can always make something else out of 'em.

Date: 2007-07-03 05:18 pm (UTC)One's an introvert, the other an extrovert. Depending on what situation I'm in, one of the two takes over.
I find I'm much happier as an extrovert, but I also can't do art to the same extent... what a trade-off.

It's definitely two different worlds.
