The biggest prank ever
Jul. 5th, 2007 04:02 amThe media never reported on it. I heard a rumor about it on the net before it happened, and assumed it had failed, because I never heard the screaming news stories that ought to have resulted from success.
But it seems that it didn't fail.
It went off without a hitch.
Why didn't I hear? Why didn't you? Why does nobody know what happened even though the results were broadcast on national television? Well... you'll have to read about it and decide for yourself.

Date: 2007-07-06 02:24 am (UTC)People reported on the Caltech prank. There were news stories written about it. "To this day the Great Rose Bowl Hoax, as it was soon dubbed, remains one of the best known college pranks ever perpetrated."
Why is it that decades later you know all about Caltech, but nobody heard about a prank that ought to have been on everybody's lips the night it happened?
