I found that religious quiz again! The one that turns me up as 100% Mormon. Therefore the results might possibly have some kind of bearing on the "right" religion for somebody. Maybe.

2. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (92%)
3. Bahá'í Faith (87%)

5. Orthodox Judaism (81%)
6. Reform Judaism (80%)

Given that it gives me: Secular Humanism (100%), and then Unitarian Universalism (92%)*, "Nontheism" (84%)** and Theravada Buddhism (83%), it's doing okay for me.

*So far as I have ever been able to tell, Unitarian Universalism is basically the "hey, you guys, let's just believe what we're going to believe and get along" religion - it doesn't seem to actually have a policy other than people should be excellent to each other.
**Which seems to be what Beliefnet wants to call Atheism and Agnosticism, for some reason - which confuses me, as "nontheism" might also be regarded as a synonym for deism...

Unitarianism is a more or less monotheistic Christian belief that says every religion has truth and goodness in it.

Secular Humanism isn't really a religion, it's a philosophy that's about ethical and logical behavior.

Quakers are Christians, but they center their beliefs in "inner light" or the idea that God comes to everybody from within, not without, so doctrine and scripture aren't as important as connecting personally to the divine.

Buddhism, of course, is about doing no harm in this life, reincarnation in the next life, and eventually seeing past the illusion of the world to the spiritual nature of everything, after which one can cease being reincarnated and achieve Nirvana, and join with the universal God force.

And Neo-Pagan is the whole Wiccan, nature worship, Celtic/Norse/Greek/Everything else, spirituality is through nature and/or through magic, etc. thing.

Wikipedia can give much more detail on all of 'em.

Yeah, I'm a bit uncomfortable about how they shovel certain religious spectra into single "blocks" - there's a wide variation in religious position within the thing they call "Neo-Pagan", and it's also not clear that you can simply lump Agnosticism and Atheism into one block, especially since Atheists are usually regarded as being a bit extreme by Agnostics.

It's an internet quiz, and it's trying to put the whole of human spiritual diversity into 27 categories. *shrugs* If it had given me something other than Mormon, I wouldn't be looking to change churches.

haha... it gave me bahai 100% and LDS 95% They're pretty similar, though... and I answered "none of the above" in a lot of places where they had another answer that would have been pretty darn close, but the wording didn't fit quite right...

Curious that agnostic didn't even break my top 5. I guess I'm more spiritual than I thought.

I got 100% on Neo-Pagan, but I think it's just because they had no clue where to put me based on my beliefs, since their site describes it as the one that takes so many forms that it can be almost anything. Thank you for sharing. ^^

Well, I can't disagree with the low end of the list at all. th etop end is... eh, somewhat complicated by the fact that my beliefs don't generally fit into any of the options it tended to give.

So, overall, what the quiz is really good at is identifying the faiths in which you'd probably have a vested interest in avoiding...

Well, after reading the quiz's description of Liberal Quakers, it does seem fairly appropriate to what I believe.

I'm also amused that Roman Catholic is so low, considering that's what I was raised as.

I'm supposedly 100% a Reform Jew! Haha!
I didn't think there was a name for what I was!
My parents used to go to the Mormon church while we still lived in Calgary, but they just kind of stopped going when we moved... I don't know why. I was only three at the time, so the only thing I remember is the little breads in the cups! ^3^ We never really went back.
It's kind of strange that I'm 100% something I've never even heard of, though.
