I was just running through my head a few things I should bring to FC. (Yes I know it's like five months away. I think about these things anyhow.) Since if all goes as planned* I'll have two fursuits there, I will of course be bringing a miniature repair and sewing kit along, and I thought to myself "Self, you could at least make a buck to spend at the con if you sold repair services while there. I mean you're going to have the supplies on hand, you might as well get some use out of them!" This proves, I think, that I am indeed cut out for self-employment, that this should be the first thing that pops into my head.

And now I'm just wondering... would I get anybody using such a service? I've heard a lot of things about fursuits breakind down in mid convention, so it seems likely. Would people actually pay? How much would they pay? What kinds of repairs are likely to be needed, and what should I bring? Would I be runing my convention fun by bringing along work? Would Beetlecat be annoyed at me for running business stuff out of her room? (Feel free to answer that one if you read this, Beetlecat!)
Anybody who's suited at a con, or even anybody who hasn't but has some input, your comments are welcome!

*Considering that one of these suits is massively ambitious, my having just one is more likely, but I'm going to at least make the attempt. The publicity if I can show I can do what goes into the second one will be well worth the effort, should I manage to pull it off.

Naw, as long as it's quiet and free of people when I want to go to bed (and no one touches my stuff), I don't much care what goes on :)

As far as if anyone will pay, I have no idea. I can see folks being reluctant to pay for something that's pretty easy to do, but maybe I only say that because (to me and any other fursuit maker) sewing is an easy fix. But I am sure there are piles of fursuiters who cannot sew and which might be interested in an emergency repair.
