It's not done yet, the glue has to dry, I need to add a bit to the neck flap, and I need to trim the muzzle just a bit more (I had the worst time getting the fur even, grrr) but I thought I'd share a preview of the sheep head.

Although actually it's as much goat as sheep, given the straight fur.

Aww, he's SO cute!
I love ungulates, and you've really done the majestic ram justice here! Baaaaa! >:3

Though... the follow-me eyes look a little peculiar in this instance. They're painted really realistically, though. <3 <3

Yeah, follow me eyes are a little odd on critters that don't have binocular vision. I considered trying some other style, but I didn't want to delay to get taxidermy eyes, this thing was late enough already, and I think the globe style would have looked a little too bug-eyed on it.

What are the horns made of?

Upholstery foam, wire, wonderflex, apoxie sculpt, lots of gesso, acrylic paint. Making them was a bit of a process.

Eee, early preview! ^_^

That's great, and I think the horns look pretty good too! How big is this one?

Oh, another question... how does the person see out of it? I notice you mentioned taxidermy eyes were a possibility, so I take it the usual clear plastic eyes are not going to be used for at least some peripheral vision in this case? Or will they just need a handler close by for this one?

You do see through the eyes. If I'd put in taxidermy eyes the black tear ducts would be mesh (in this case they aren't) and you'd see through them. So yeah, you have a honking blind spot right in front of you. It's not too bad though, the Drabbit had the same blind spot, plus I had to wear him without glasses on, and I never actually ran into anything. Or anybody, except for the one time, and that was a kid, he was below my line of sight anyhow.

Ha ha, I wanna see through MY nose... don't know how useful it would be. Maybe just to avoid small children. *snort!*

Thanks for the explanation, that all makes sense.
