silveradept. Worry about the right things. Many of the things we fear most are the things tha,t statistically speaking, we should fear least.
An exceprt from the article: "What do you think is more dangerous, a house with a pool or a house with a gun? When, for "20/20," I asked some kids, all said the house with the gun is more dangerous. I'm sure their parents would agree. Yet a child is 100 times more likely to die in a swimming pool than in a gun accident."
If we were actually concerned about the things that kill us, we'd be banning swimming pools, cars, fast food, and cigarettes.

Date: 2007-09-10 10:59 pm (UTC)I'm getting tired of those idiots who say we need to ban guns to prevent accidental. Proper knowledge in gun safety and proper storage will almost completely eliminate accidental shootings.
The idiots who start screaming about banning guns are basically very weak-minded individuals who feel that because they do not want the responsibility that comes with firearm ownership then nobody else should have it as well. Basically they want someone else to take responsibility for them. Usually they want the government to regulate everything so they don't have to use common sense.
Personally I couldn't care less what someone is into including my friends. Just as long as they do not try to get me involved in such activities.

Every decent gun owner knows to keep it unloaded and safely locked away from childrens hands.
