Moving

Well, the move is officially under way. We took down a load of stuff, mostly my Windstones, when we went down to sign the paperwork. Also a few boxes of books and one of JJ's games. The next few days we'll be packing like mad things to get everything boxed and ready to go so that by sometime mid next week we can rent a truck and take it all at once.

*sigh*

Though admittedly the new place is nicer than this place. It's a littler larger, of similar age, and kept up just a bit better, especially outside. The exteriors here are awful. I had somebody suggest once that the solution to my backdrop problem was to take photos outside, but that just made me laugh. I have a choice of a muddy excuse for a lawn, a nasty moldy concrete walk, and peeling paint, or that same nasty concrete walk and a carport as backdrops in front of this apartment. The new place has shrubbery, nicely kept lawns, curvy paths, and fresh paint. Admittedly the color is a kind of toned down fuchsia, but it could be worse. I may take a few outdoor fursuit photos, in which case the neighbors will probably think I'm strange.

I wish the move was over and done with. Bah.

I've hung out in the alley in full fursuit taking photos before. I couldn't see people's expressions, but I'm sure they were awesome XD

As far as a backdrop goes, a white bedsheet works just dandy. It can be hung anywhere (even in front of shelves) and then taken down.

I hate moving and I'm going to be having to do it pretty soon.

Oy, moving. Big pain in the arse. But when it's done, it's usually pretty worth it. Have a good, safe, non-breaking-of-things move.
