Last night for some reason I was craving cheese. I went downstairs, and had a little bit of mozzarella, which was good. Then I realized that we also had parmesean, and cheddar, and baybel. So I made a tiny cheese plate, one slice of each, and ate them!

It was so good that today I decided to make a better cheese plate. I bought some additional cheese, and some fruit, and some crackers, and some chocolate. Thus, for dinner today I shall have:
An imported British biscuit assortment, (The non-sweet kind.)
Tillamook medium cheddar,
Handmade mozzarella,
Paper sliced fresh parmesean,
A miniature baybel cheese wheel,
Garlic flavored mild goat cheese,
Irish gouda,
An apple,
Strawberries,
Grapes,
And one square each of three varieties of Scharffenberger chocolate, and a piece of Walker's scottish shortbread for desert.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. So good.

If you can find 'em? Try Honeycrisp apples and a smoked gruyere together. YUM. This is my FAVORITE fall snack.

I have no trouble finding them. Market of Choice (local organic hippie/yuppie mart) has an entire section dedicated to unusual, imported, local, and hand made cheeses, in addition to a very complete selection of the usual mass market brands.

Hehe. I had trouble finding the honeycrisps when I lived in MO, but can get them here in TX- I have yet to find as good a smoked gruyere (and it has to be smoked! regular doesn't cut it) as I could get when I lived in upstate NY and bought it at the dairy up the road, though....

None sweet biscuits? Do you mean crackers?

My cheese platters goes the length and breadth of the country - double gloucester, stilton, red leceister, cheshire, a good crumbly wensleydale... ahh, the English rule hard cheese.

Well, the box says "biscuits" on it. So... you tell me? Most of them are like what I'd call a cracker, but some of them are rather not cracker like. Dunno.
