My piano arrived today.

I sat down and played for maybe half an hour. I'm rusty, but it looks like I'll be able to blow the rust off fairly quickly. Unfortunately, while getting my fingers back up to speed may not take too long, getting them up to strength might. Typing uses different muscles, and my hands are sore and tired after just half an hour. But give it a few weeks, maybe a month or so, and I should be fully back in the groove.

Also, I have played Fur Elise, so the new piano is properly christened. *grins* All pianos get Fur Elise played on them at some point, and all pianists play it at some point.

Yay, piano!

Personally, though, I always thought that Chopsticks was the piano-christening piece, for many of the same reasons.

Or I could play "Heart and Soul" But I have the actual sheet music for the full version of Fur Elise, so I preferred that.

Whichever piece it is that you decide you want is a good piece to use. I hope JJ doesn't mind the sounds of the piano filling the air now.

Yet another reason he's a keeper, then. The two of you can make merry music together.

If we have BC in Oregon again, I think there was a piano in one of the cabins. *grin*

If there is, I'm not taking any bets on it being in tune enough for me to play without cringing.
