I really don't like form letters.
Nov. 13th, 2007 07:07 pmI know sometimes they're the only practical option, but most of the time using a form letter with me pretty much guarantees you're not going to get the desired result! I'm stubborn like that. Also, most of the time I've gotten form letters, they've been from idiots anyhow. Except the time I got one back from writing my congressman. I don't think I can call him an idiot, though he's a politician, so a little suspect. But most of them aren't stupid!
(This was prompted by my recieving a request to includ a link to a fabric resource on my page. I very strongly suspect it's a form letter, given that said fabric resource specializes in brocade, and doesn't sell a single fur fabric, nor vinyl, nor scale print, nor anything else that's useful for fursuits. Well, except they have that cheap "velvet" stuff, which I do use on occasion, but you can get that stuff literally everywhere. Their letter makes no reference whatsoever to fursuits, mascots, or furries, and doesn't give me any reason to want to link to them other than "We have fabric! You link to fabric! Link to us!" DENIED! I link to fur fabric, and to one source of pleather etc. You fail.)
