That depends on what color it is, and what color you want it to be.
Given the subject line, I'm guessing it's pink, and you want it some other color. Dark colors will goover pink easily. Lighter colors won't.
In the same vein, what you're using for dye will also make a difference. If you're using actual dye intended for leather, it's mostly just reading and following directions. If you're using, say, india ink, or something else not originally intended for coloring leather, you'll need to be a bit more creative. India ink, BTW, is waterproof, and very good for turning anything and everything black. It can dye leather pretty easily, but will dye everything else, too, if you aren't careful.
Well, unless its finished, then you would have to strip the finnishing off first of any leather dye will just slide right off (its a nifty trick I've used in the past)
