Here's the obligatory, "ooo, I'm going to a convention, there will be strange people there!" post.
Firstly, I should say that this year I'm not selling at the con, so I will be running around in suit a LOT. Last year I only suited for maybe two hours, in my kitsune partial, and while that was fun, I get the feeling most of the con-goers never saw the suit at all. This time that shouldn't be a problem. For a fursuit it's not even that hot to wear!
So, how to recognize me:
1. Click below to see my calico suit. That will be me, it's tailored and won't fit anybody else anyhow, even if I were inclined to share it, which I'm not. MINE! My first full suit for myself, I'm not sharing! I've made enough that I wore once for the photo and sent along to somebody else, this one's all mine! Mwa ha ha ha! *ahem*
2. Blue snow leopard tail. Any time I'm not in the calico suit, I will probably be wearing a white snow leopard tail with blue spots. It may have a spine in it, if I find time to make one. It may have matching ears, if I find time to make them. Dunno. But the tail is made, so that will be there for sure.
3. Purple sparkly deer hands. I'll probably haul these along just because I have them. So I may be wearing them part of the con as well, with or without matching feet, ears, and tail.
4. Badge that says "SPark." I don't have specific badge art yet, I like getting mine at the con, but I'm the only SPark with a capitol P there.
What to do if you see me in suit:
Do - say hello, compliment the suit, give me a hug.
Do NOT - pounce or roughouse. Sorry, but this thing is actually very fragile. NO POUNCING. Also hugs need to come from in front of me and be clearly telegraphed. I am VERY blind in this suit. Not only will I have my glasses off, but the muzzle completely blocks anything that's below muzzle level. Note that the muzzle is on my FACE so if you're standing near me, I can't see your hands or most of your body, so if you suddenly go to slap me on the back or whatever, I'm NOT GOING TO SEE IT, and it's going to scare the heck out of me, so please, no sudden moves. (I also have no peripheral vision, so if you're standing slightly to the side of me and not directly in front it's possible that I can't see you at all, and don't even know you're there. Imagine you're wearing binoculars that don't magnify anything at all, they just restrict your vision and make things very blurry. This is what I can see while in the suit.)
Also - Do not be surprised if I don't recognize you, particularly not when I'm in suit. See above about not being able to see.
What to do if you see me out of suit:
Say hi! I don't bite. Hugs are okay, though I'm not a really huggy-cuddly person with most people. Pounces are okay if you don't get carried away; I'd prefer to not crack my head against a table or something. Don't be too shocked if I don't recognize you out of suit either, particularly if we haven't met in person before. I'm terrible with names, and pretty bad with faces too, even if we have met once or twice it may take a be for me to remember who you are. Sorry!
And now, the good part!
