Shinies!

I'm skimming off some of my gems to resell and make back a bit of the rather silly total that I've spent on gems recently.

A few of these are crappy quality, but most were picked just because they're duplicates, and why do I really need six identical padparadschas anyhow?

I don't have carat weights for these yet, which is why I'm not just slapping them up on ebay. Gems sell best when you can give precise weights. I can say that none of these are specks, they're all big enough to not worry about losing, I haven't culled out any of the specks yet. Anyhow, if anybody is interested, or has any questions about specific stones, ask away! I can measure them, or get photos next to familiar objects if needed. I've ordered a jeweler's scale, so I'll be weighing and formally selling these things eventually, but I know a few of you reading enjoy gems as well, so I thought I'd offer them up. Make me an offer! None of these are terribly expensive.

how much are you looking to make back on all of these?

As much as I can possibly get. *grins* Mercenary that I am.

Realistically... fifty cents to a dollar on most of the decent ones. A quarter or so on the cruddy ones. Maybe two, three bucks for the really nice stuff like the padparadschas and the big lab sapphires. And shipping, of course, but none of that inflated shipping nonsense you see on ebay. I can put them in a little bubble wrap on a plain envelope and spend maybe a buck tops on the shipping.

so the garnets? ... and the rectangular ones... the bigger amethyst and topaz?

Garnets are $.50 ones. So if you wanted all the garnets, it'd be $5.50. The big rectangular amethyst and topaz I'd say $1 each.

Peridot is actually a heart cabochon. (Rounded top, not faceted. Really cute.) $.50 for that, $3 each for the orange sapphires.

No opals are pictured. That second photo is full of moonstones.

More photos of those are in the entry below this one. Sunstones, I have more photos here: http://bladespark.topcities.com/gems05.jpg http://bladespark.topcities.com/gems24.jpg

lol, i was a mite confused there! Could i possibly get the largest smokey quartz, one of the darker midnight sapphires, and one of the rounder amber colored sunstones? i really like the one on the far left in your picture link.

also interested in some moonstones, but i have to watt week when i get my paycheck. that almost clear one in the middle is rockin!

Random popping in, drawn to shinies.
