Well, I certainly don't expect every person reading to reply to every single post I make, that'd be silly.

I just sort of have to wonder... most of my posts get just a single person commenting, maybe two. That's a pretty low percentage.

Actually, I've noticed this myself. I don't have nearly the friends list you do, but even then it's like everyone has up and vanished in the last several months. They've all migrated to Facebook with the exception of one, or just abandoned it altogether.

Of course, I post a lot less than you too.

Still, I think it's the nature of LJ. There are alot of folks watching alot of other folks and most of the time they feel the need to comment only in very rare cases. Mostly it's probably not wanting to repeat what's already been said or little interest in the current topic. It's ok, they're still out there watching. :)

Plenty of people still around. Some may have migrated to other platforms because they think LJ has gone down the tubes, but they keep the account and let it lapse so they can comment. Some might be sockpuppets or spam journals. Most of us are, as said above, here, just not necessarily talkative.

You know what's funny about that? I used to live in the very same apartment complex where you are. I recognized the address the first time I mailed you something. It was kind of funny. "Why does this look so familiar, I've never mailed her anything before. Wait... hey! I used to live there!"
