There is a huge fruit stand not far from here. I talked JJ into taking me today. Now I have strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, cherries, weird honey, summer squash, a HUGE sweet onion, some corn, and a tomato. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. All fresh, and all local except for the strawberries. I am having the summer squash for lunch. And I need to buy more spinach. I love fresh fruits and veggies. <3

weird honey? What kind?

I'm in the habit of collecting up every new type I find. So far, the list has included clover, sage, blueberry, orange blossum, wildberry, and buckwheat. I have to say, the sage and buckwheat had the strongest taste, almost spicy.

It's buckwheat. And yeah, strong tasting. It was the darkest color they had, and so I was curious what it would be like. They had poison oak honey, which I was also curious about! But I could only get one.

Ah... Poison oak I'd be curious about, and not too worried about trying, since I'm not in any way allergic. Still, if I were, I'd probably be wary.

My mother is violently allergic, but I don't seem to be. I may get some of that just to see, particularly as the buckwheat is weirdly flavored enough that for some things I'd hesitate to use it. Though I think it will be really good with some of the herbal teas I have.

Yep! I like it with green tea and similar, that are almost *too* mildly flavored on their own.
