There are numerous sources of silver bullion online. However, most of these are severely backordered and take some time to deliver, given the current rather odd state of the silver market. (And I've never bought that way, so I've no idea who's reliable and who isn't.) You'd probably have better luck finding a local coin shop. Given that little Corvallis had two, most places will have at least one. While current shortages mean that you won't be likely to find anybody selling in bulk, so far I've never had any problem finding a store that has two or three in stock, at least. You can generally call and get a current price, though of course as a market commodity, the price will vary daily. Although just now the market value is not the price you'll find people selling at, the silver market is kind of screwy these days. The "real" value of silver is running two to five bucks over the market value.

(And you would want to get silver bullion rounds, not silver Eagles or Christmas silver, probably. :) Even though this is for Christmas, the Christmas silver is silly looking, and often costs more than regular bullion. And Eagles always cost more. Since I'm just after the metal itself, plain bullion is the way to go.)
