I'd just like to ask that if anybody has issues with a costume I've made them, particularly if something has broken, even if you don't feel it's worth sending it back to fix, I would appreciate hearing about it. I want to be constantly improving my work, and I find it very frustrating when I find I've been making the same mistake, and causing all my customers the same problem for a very long time, and nobody has let me know about the problem so that I can fix it.

In *cough* rather related news, if you have a suit from me that has "follow me" buckram eyes, you may want to consider doing something to add additional sealant to the eyes, because apparently the sealant I was using isn't perfectly waterproof, and they can bleed if you sweat in the suit. I haven't had it pop up as a problem in my personal suits, but I'm not really that sweaty, and only one of them has that style of eyes.

If anybody has had an issue with this, I am willing to replace the eyes with 100% non-bleeding eyes, if you want to ship your head in to me, although adding a coat of spray artist's sealant, or clear spray enamel should also fix the problem. Just remember to mask off the rest of the head, so you don't also accidentally enamel your fur. :)

(Edited to remove unneeded ranting.)

Maybe people figure something like that isn't worth bothering the artist over and/or they're trying to be polite? I dunno.

It's a business transaction, "I have a problem with the thingo you made, can you please help" isn't rude until generic!you take it to the point of harrassing/nipicking an artist. And "my eyes, they bled some" is so not nitpicking, it's important.

Yes. I'm hoping that most people, like me, just didn't have the problem turn up. But I know at least one person did and never mentioned it. I can only assume that they were trying to be nice, but as you say, it isn't rude to mention a problem, so long as you're not being a demanding twit about it.

My eyes bled from snow, not sweat, but I thought it was my fault, not yours, so I didn't say anything. I didn't know that wasn't normal. It's not serious enough to need fixing, and I've done things to the eyes like cut out the pupils to see better and got glowstick fluid leaked onto them when I tried to line them with bent glowsticks, which you shouldn't have to worry about.

One problem that just occurred with the jaw is the right hinge screw tore through the plastic canvas. I'm planning to repair it with a hole reinforcement so it doesn't tear again. You might want to use hole reinforcements for your jaw hinges if you don't already.

Thanks for the heads up. I have actually switched to using a reinforced jaw, though I think I need to get better screws and beef it up all around.

I've bought a handful of tails and one bodysuit from you. Your tails to this day still are my favorites.

As for the bodysuit.. my only main comment is that it was *very* form fitting to a point of too close. Luckily I lost a lot of weight after ordering it so it didn't matter, but when I first received it, it felt like a 100% perfect duplicate of the duct tape body. It just didn't seem to have a full range of motion. Walking and standing were ok. Sitting made it tug a bit, I believe I knelt once and it popped a few seams -- but I can sew easily enough so it wasn't hard to fix.

That's good to know. I do strive for a more form fitting suit, but if you pop seams when you move, that's probably a bit much. Thanks.

I didn't think it made you look bad at all. Just a little mishap. I mean, unless all of your customers where complaining about it, I wouldn't worry too much. It's not your fault if the sealant you were using didn't work as well as it should, right? :3

Heh. Hopefully most people will think so. I just have enough problems with a few people who actively dislike me and are spreading crap about me without well-meaning customers adding to the problem by trying to not "bother" me when things go wrong.
