It was coming along beautifully... and then when I was adding the literally last touch I smudged a bit I thought was dry. ;.;

For Rustydragonfly, rather late, and honestly not my very best work. For one thing I suspect it's not actually shaggy enough. And I kind of have the urge to do at least one other critter, too. This is woefully inadequate compared to the work that goes into doing a sculpture, I know. But anyhow, it's done.

Depends on the sculptor. To me, *that* looks like more work, but that's because I'm horrible at flat images.

Oh, cool! Don't worry about the fluff, we can just say it's summer! That's when they shed a lot.

Hey, I have a question too. I'm curious about wing-making techniques, mainly how they stay on. If I wanted to make a smallish pair of wings for a partial/one off thing, would I just want to sew elastic straps on or what?

If they're very small elastic works fine. I usually get nylon strapping, like backpack straps though.
