I just have to say, I love the concept, of Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, being different developmental stages of the dragons. I can't WAIT to see Fall and Winter!
Hee, I like how it looks kinda gangly, like adolescents do in general. :3 I noticed the wings are proportionately smaller than in the old one, but I suppose that's because they're just growing in and aren't functional yet, no? There's also a lot more, um...liveliness and personality(?) in the updated version's eyes and pose; the old one looks rather blank and not as much alive. :3 It also has more of a sense of size to it, where the old one I might not have thought was much larger than the Spring Dragons.
As for a nitpick, it took me a moment to realize the the left 'leg' and right 'arm' were separate parts, and I was going to say that it looked awkward. Then I noticed the little bit of claw and it clicked to make sense.
...Okay, I'm curious, what on earth is that little thing it's looking at? I'm torn between lobster-thing, weird bird, and leaf-creature(even though that would generally be more 'autumn' style leaves than summer...).
I wish I could make the limbs a little clearer, but I had a heck of a time getting the pose to look natural at all, since unlike the wrestling baby dragons I couldn't crib off of real animals. I'm not really sure where I could put them to improve things, and still keep that general pose and angle. (I swiped the spring pose from a photo of wrestling puppies, roughly, but there's nothing real that's proportioned anything like the juvenile dragons. I'm having the same trouble with the adult drawings too.)
Your new summer version seems much more alive than the old--I'm sure it's because it's more action-oriented with more interesting angles. That back leg hidden behind the belly is extremely admirable--good angle, and it looks really naturally placed, which is hard for limbs in the background.
